Region of Waterloo Intl. Airport - Terminal Building and Apron Construction 2002 - 2007

Most recent photo: June 16, 2008

Commencing in the summer of 2002, the current owners of the airport (The Region of Waterloo) undertook a multi year infrastructure improvement project.  This project called for the replacement and expansion of the main apron area, the construction of a new terminal building and associated parking facilities, and the creation of an entirely new apron and taxiway to access twenty one new airport building lots.

Almost all photographs were taken from the balcony of the Nav Canada Control Tower. The camera used was a Kodak DX3900 3.1 mega pixel digital. Probably not the best camera for this application, with limited telephoto and wide angle ability, however, a record nonetheless. Please excuse some of the "rough splicing" of panoramic shots. Photographs after September 2005 were taken with a Panasonic FZ20 camera
